The Redding Christian High School (RCHS) Sports Boosters Scholarship is established by the RCHS Sports Boosters, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to support graduating senior student-athletes who have demonstrated academic achievement, athletic participation, personal character, and commitment to their Christian faith. The scholarship is intended to further the charitable and educational mission of the organization.

Redding Christian Sports Boosters has two (2) $1000 Scholarships available for 2025/2026 Seniors! 

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following objective criteria to be eligible for consideration:

• • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA at the time of application
  • Continuous enrollment at Redding Christian High School for all four years (grades 9–12)
  • Participation in at least two (2) RCHS-sanctioned sports per academic year, for a total of eight (8) athletic seasons during high school.

Applicants must submit a handwritten essay (minimum one page, maximum three pages) addressing the following topics:

• • Educational, vocational, or career plans following graduation
  • Intended use of the scholarship funds for education-related expenses
  • Personal faith testimony and the role of faith in the applicant’s life, character development, and future goals

Review and Selection Process

• • All applications will be reviewed without identifying information to the extent reasonably practicable.

  • Scholarship recipients will be selected through a voting process conducted by community members who are not members of the RCHS Sports Boosters Board of Directors.

  • Reviewers will be provided with standardized evaluation criteria to ensure consistency, fairness, and objectivity.

Selection decisions will be based on:

• • Verification of eligibility requirements

  • Evaluation of the essay in relation to the stated criteria

  • Demonstrated character, commitment, and alignment with the organization’s charitable purpose

No preference will be given based on donor influence, family relationships, or board membership.

Applicant must complete the full application and submit it by April 1, 2026.
